Flexibility and Opportunities for Reservists:

As a Reserve Officer, you’ll serve part-time, allowing you to maintain your civilian dental practice while contributing as few as two days a month and two weeks a year. You’ll also have opportunities for additional service and pay, with flexible drilling options to meet service requirements.   • Full-Time Service: You may receive a Direct Accessions Bonus ranging from $75,000 to $400,000 when you qualify.
  • Active Duty Service: Incentives include sign-on bonuses, specialty pay, and up to $150,000 in loan repayment assistance through the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Age: Must be commissioned before the 42nd birthday (age waivers considered on a case-by-case basis).
  • Education: Graduate of a dental school approved by the American Dental Association.
  • Medical License: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
