Key Responsibilities:

- Force Development (FD): Oversee talent acquisition, accessions, initial, and fleet training to ensure the Navy recruits and trains top talent.
- Force Management (FM): Manage career progression, service delivery, and pay and personnel systems, ensuring Sailors are effectively supported.
- Force Requirements and Resourcing (FR2): Lead operations analysis, financial management, requirements planning, and business optimization efforts that drive Navy and Navy Reserve success.
Training and Development:
The US Navy Reserve prioritizes your professional growth. As a newly commissioned Human Resources Officer, you’ll participate in specialized training, including:
- Officer Development School
- Human Resources Introductory Course

Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking highly motivated professionals with expertise in human resources, personnel management, and leadership. Ideal candidates meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Dual citizenship (U.S. and another country) is not necessarily disqualifying.
- Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not more than 42 years of age at the time of commissioning. Prior qualifying service will be considered on a case-by-case basis for year-for-year credit up to age 52.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, personnel management, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with nationally recognized HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR) are highly valued.
- Work Experience: At least five years of prior military experience and/or significant civilian HR experience in areas such as personnel management, manpower analysis, operations analysis, or business management is required. Applicants with civilian HR experience and degrees outside of HR-related fields are encouraged to apply.
- Security Clearance: A security clearance may be required depending on the specific role and responsibilities. Applicants must be eligible to obtain a clearance if needed.
