Eligibility Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen currently practicing in the U.S.
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an eligible medical school accredited by the American Medical Association (AMA) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Residency: Must have completed one year of graduate-level medical education in an AMA- or AOA-approved program (interns currently in training may also apply).
  • Medical License: Must have a current, unrestricted medical license within one year of entering the Navy Medical Corps.
  • Age: Must be between the ages of 21 and 64 (age waivers considered on a case-by-case basis).
  • Physical Fitness: Be in good physical condition and pass a full medical examination.
