We prioritize your professional growth at the US Navy Reserve. As a newly commissioned Intelligence Officer, you’ll undergo specialized training, including:

  • Officer Development School  
  • Naval Intelligence Officer Basic Course (NIOBC)
  • Information Warfare Basic Course (IWBC)

Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking motivated professionals who are passionate about leadership, service, and intelligence. Ideal candidates meet the following criteria:

  1. Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Dual citizenship (U.S. and another country) is not necessarily disqualifying.
  2. Age: Applicants must be at least 18 years old and less than 42 years old at the time of commissioning. Prior qualifying service will be considered for year-for-year credit up to age 50. 
  3. Time in Service Restriction: Enlisted personnel in the Active Component of the Navy or the Navy Reserve (Active and Inactive) or enlisted personnel of other armed services must have no more than 120 months of qualifying service at the time of the DCO board. Waivers may be granted up to, but not to exceed, 144 months of qualifying service.
  4. Education: A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. Applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 2.8–2.99 may request a waiver, and a graduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher can supersede a lower undergraduate GPA.
  5. Security Clearance: Applicants must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. You do not need to have this clearance at the time of application, but you will need to complete a pre-nomination interview with the local special security office to assess your eligibility.
  6. Commitment to Excellence: A dedication to developing your leadership and intelligence expertise continuously.

Preferred candidates may have academic backgrounds in International Relations, Political Science, Data Science, and STEM fields, or possess foreign language proficiency and cultural expertise.
